Within our industry, the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers awards the designation of CLS  (Certified Lubrication Specialist) as a way to promote knowledge building as well as to recognize those who have distinguished themselves with regard to lubrication knowledge. To receive the award, an individual must pass a multi-subject exam as well as have 3+ years of relevant industry experience.  Â
